The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it can be alarmed with regard to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention encounters a higher influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
